The Daily Phone Call

Adam is really good (really, really good) and calls me when he is about 20 minutes away on his way home from work. I really appreciate this phone call. It gives me a chance to get the house picked up, dinner started, kids' faces cleaned, off the phone (okay that one doesn't always happen, especially if I'm talking to my neighbor - who lives just across the street!) and just all around have myself "put together" - that phrase I use loosely as that is my neverending and constant goal, to which I still need a ton of help with, I know.

Moving on, so once Adam calls me I listen for the garage door. Once I hear the garage door, I tell Owen to "go see who's home". He usually is running to the door with glee and giggles looking for Adam. Well, Wednesday Owen asked me "Hizz zat?" (Who's that?) when I got off the phone with Adam. I told him it was Daddy and that he was on his way home. Owen ran for the door and when Adam didn't come through the door, he started to cry.

Well, he waited and waited and waited (5 minutes) and still no Daddy. After many tears, he plopped himself down in the middle of the hallway and waited for Adam. Finally, after further ado, Adam came walking through the door. Owen couldn't be happier (neither could I) that Daddy was home to save the day.

I'm waiting...........

Is he there yet?

There he is!!!!!
