What is THAT!?

The other morning when I went to get Caroline up, I noticed her lower lip was swollen. I peeked on the inside of the lip and it looked red and sore. She didn't seem too concerned with it and it didn't seem to really be bothering her. I called Adam to see if he noticed anything the night before since he put her to bed and he hadn't, not even when he brushed her teeth, which he for sure would've seen this then. But, as the morning wore on, I decided to get her into the doctor. I called up and they got me in late in the morning. Great! The doctor looked at it and determined that it was probably just a cancker sore - but there was no ulceration, just looked like a blister at this point in time.

That night, it was getting worse - more swollen, red and bigger blister like thing on her lip. Can't possibly be a cancker sore. Still, she's acting as if nothing is wrong. The day comes and goes and off to bed she goes for the night.

Thursday morning she wakes up and it looks a little bit better, but still sore and red. As this day continues, I happen to peek in her mouth and there is the same thing on the right side lower lip. What in the &*%^$ is going on here? I called the doctor again and by this time the appointments were all booked for the day and to the after hours clinic I go. When the doctor at the after hours clinic saw her, she couldn't figure out what it was either and best guess was possibly a cancker sore.

You tell me - does this look like a cancker sore to you?!

She didn't bump her lip on the crib, was stung, and we don't think she was bit by anything. Truly, the only thing this could've come from is from her biting her lower lip. So, maybe it was a cancker sore, maybe it wasn't. It wasn't contagious, and she's all better. Isn't that what really matters?
