Owen loves to help me put the dishes away. He'll take them out of the dishwasher and hand me either the glasses, bowls, plates, or cups. I try and take out the sharp kinves before he can get his little hands into the silverware. If I do, then I'll let him help me put the silverware away by handing the pieces to me. You see, I am very specific about how my silverware (and the entire dishwasher) gets loaded and then how the dishes and silverware get put away (some would say I'm anal rentitive - no comments on that please - or even OCD). I am so specific, that I am seriously contemplating getting rid of a certain set of dishes because I don't like the way they fit into the dishwasher, especially the bowls. If it's not done to my liking I will rearrange the dishes until they fit just the way I like them. I like things done a certain way, especially if I'm the one to put the dishes away. I like the small spoons loaded together, the knives together, the big forks together, etc. You get the picture, right?
So, when Owen beat me to the punch today and got his little hands on the silverware before I was done putting the dishes away, I had to stop and take pictures and at least be grateful that he was willing to help and knew which drawer belongs to the silverware. I wasn't concentrating on the fact that I had to go back and redo everything, as that was just a miniscule amount of time out of my day. But, it did cause a slight elevation in my anxiety level.
Thanks, Onie. I appreciate you helping Mommy! I love you.

I would have to agree, love the help, but I have to fix it or I'll got crazy!!
At least it is some form of help. He is getting so big i cant beleive it! When does he get his license?
We are soul-sisters! Dane calls me the "Dishwasher Gestapo". I can often be found re-arranging the dishes that someone else has put in before me. People who know me well enough don't even offer to load the dishwasher anymore.
Hey, I just know my dishwasher, know my dishes, and like them a certain way. I find nothing wrong with that!
I know you and silverware! Don't worry, you'll make it through this! LOL ;)
