Construction Zone

When we bought our house, one of the very first projects that we wanted to do was close up (or wall in) the pass through from the family room to the formal dining room/living room. Well, we are finally able to do that, 9 1/2 months later. Adam wanted to do the framing and then have someone come in and do the drywall, mud and have the texture match. This past Thursday, we had a drywall guy come in and give us an estimate. It's a go!!!! On October 15th we will finally have this project crossed off the list. This means that Adam had to get busy over the weekend and do the framing and move the electrical and cable wires.

Friday night, Adam started doing just that. He took off the corner rounds, and started the framing. Saturday he finished the framing. He'll move the electrical and cable wires some time this week and then we just sit back and watch the drywall guys come in and do their magic. I can hardly wait! We have both hated the pass through and wanted to get this project done.

So, now that you saw Adam's smashed finger, he said that the picture looked worse than what it felt. I have a hard time believing that, given past experiences. (You know you're addicted to blogging when you're willing to take and then post a picture of someone else's misfortune. Thanks Adam for being such a good sport about it.)
