Learning Curve

About 4 weeks ago I was able to sign Owen up for preschool through our city. There were only 8 kids allowed into the class, and he was one of them! I was really excited he was going to have a little preschool class.

Preschool started this past Tuesday. He loved it and did really well. Owen loved it so much, he came home covered in marking pen....literally. He had it on his hands, shirt, and arms. The only thing that matters is he had a good time (and that the ink came out of his shirt). Side note: there is another Owen in the class. He's a couple of months older than my Owen, but about half his size. I didn't think I would have the problem of two Owen's in the same class. Guess again, huh?!

When I dropped Owen off (another thing I love about the class - drop and go) he ran right in and I got the instructions from the teachers. I also got the lesson plan for his class for at least the next few weeks. I don't think it's for the entire 8 weeks of this preschool class, but could be wrong.

Here's the lesson plan:

Theme: Spring/Plants

Letter: "Pp"

Number: 3

Color: Green

Shape: Circle

Circle Time: Chilren will learn about spring weather, what plants need to gro, the parts of a plant, and baby animals of "spring".

Language: "Pp" sound box. Alphabet puzzle. Name the baby animals.

Math: Number puzzles. Color matching. Childen will make # sets of "3" using flowers.

Science: Name the parts of a plant. Pictures of "spring".

Manipulatives: Sand, blocks, and bean scooping.

Story Time: Spring is Here!

I drop Owen off twice a week for an hour each day. He is enjoying it, despite having a few tears today. I'm so glad to see him learning and doing new things. It's very rewarding to me as a mom.
