Maroon Effect

Each year during the college football season, Virginia Tech (Adam's Alma Mater) has an "orange effect" and a "maroon effect" home football game. During these games, the fans are asked to participate by wearing either the orange shirt or the maroon shirt.

Me, not being a big fan of the color orange, told Adam that he needed to get Owen the maroon shirt. Adam either forgot or for some reason or another didn't get around to purchasing the maroon effect shirt. That's where I stepped in and ordered one for Owen and for Adam. Now, on the day of the maroon effect game, Owen will be sporting his new shirt! Hopefully, it will be cool enough for him to wear it by then.

I know the shirt is big. The only size that they had was "youth small". So, I figure it is 100% cotton and by the time it is was and dried a few times, it won't be quite so big on him. As a side note, Owen now calls each and every kind of bird a "Hokie Bird". The VA Tech brainwashing has begun already!

Very cute. Reminds me I forgot to give you the VT outfit I have for Cari. I'll send it down with my parents. It might still fit her. I have a friend in VA who sends me her boys' VT clothes. I'll pass them all on to you if you'd like them. :)
